Umbrellas were first used in Africa to shade them from the sun. Umbrellas was associated with the sun god. It was considered that it was a sacrilege to open them in the shade. This is the reason why people consider it bad luck to open umbrella indoors.

It is a tradition to wear wedding band on the fourth finger in the belief that the fourth finger nerve is connected directly to the heart. Coloring lips with lipstick is due to the belief that the red circle around the mouth keeps the soul inside and the devil outside. The eyelids came to fashion on the belief that it shield our eyes from the sun.

Pizza means “pie” in Italian. It was created over 500 years ago by the women of Naples, Italy.Pizza is a yeast dough covered with tomatoes and topped with cheese, meat or vegetables. The first pizza was prepared with tomatoes and cheese for Queen Margherita in the year 1889. Raffaele, the pizza maker used ingredients that matched the color of Italy flag. The fist Pizza corner in America was opened in New York in the year 1905 by Gennaro Lombardi. After the World War II ,the soldiers who served in Italy brought the taste to U.S.
